LORENA VILLAGE
12 miles from the Costa Rican coast and the Pacific Ocean lies a small, rural town of just 1500 people - Lorena Village. Only a small portion of the adult population holds a high school degree, and most work in the service or construction industry. However, the community is founded on strong familial values and bonds over their love of soccer. Because the children of this village have few other organized activities and their current field is often inaccessible due to a lack of night lighting and drainage, the rehabilitation of this soccer field is crucial to the well-being of this community.

SIEMPRE AMIGOS
Siempre Amigos is a Costa Rican-based non-profit aiming to enhance the lives of families in economic poverty through infrastructure development projects. They were founded through the corporate social responsibility goals of the CPI Spanish School in Costa Rica. They are also partnered with Hotels Casas del Toro and STV de Monteverde S.A. The organizations are also focused on introducing foreigners to Costa Rican culture outside of the touristic framework.
